City Council Minutes 1940 09-03-40 Yorkville, Illinois September 3,1940 Amk i The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois was held in the lVillage Ball of said Village on September 3, 1940 and called to , order by President Devereaux at 9:00 P.M. Finding prevent on roll call were President Devereaux, Trustees Loomis,Munson,5chulter,Barkley.and Olerk Ament Absent; Trustees Schumacher, Marshall. Minutes of the regular meeting held August 5, 1940 were read and so ordered approved. The regular monthly reports of the Clerk, Chief of Police, and Police Magistrate were read and so ordered approved. Carried and so ordered A resolutian,appropriating $ 511.25 out of the motor fuel tax funds allotted to the Village of Yorkville to apply upon the ; payment of the principal and interest on a certain and last : right of way bond in the Village of Yorkville,now outstanding, due October 1,1940 and the interest due on the said unpaid bond, , was read and on motion by Trustee Barkley seconded by Trustee Munson the said resolution In passed and adopted as read. Roll Call; Ayes- Loomis,Munson,Schulter,Barltley Nays- None. Carried and so ordered. !I Yorkville, Illinois September 3, 1940 An application for a building permit for the construction of an addition to their present building was received from the Hayden Garage and on motion by Trustee Barkley seconded by Trustee Schulter the Haydeix'-..%&rAge be.'-gftnte&,_al building permit' for the construction of an addition to their present building. Carried and so ordered. On motion the meeting was adjourned Clerk. 0 President. i Whereas, in the judgment of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kenaall County , Illinois, there is no necessity for the further use of any of the municipality ' s allotment of ?.motor Fuel Tax Funds for the construction and/or reconstruction of state highways in said municipality , therefore; Be it resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County , Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated the sum of Five Hundred Seven Dollars and 25/100 from the municipality ' s allotment of '_'otor Fuel Tax funds to apply upon the payment of the principal ana interest on a certain and last right' of way bond in the Village of Yoriville, now out standing, sue October 1st , A.L. 1940 , and the interest due on the said unpaid bond, which said bond is one of a series of coupon bonds issued under and by virtue of an ordinance of the Village of Yorkville, passed and approved September 10th , A.D. 1926, and submitted to the electors of said Village of Yorkville at a special election held Octooer 4th, A. D. 1926, at which election said ordinance was approved and the bona issue authorie4, and the said bonds were sold ana the proceeds of which bonds were used for the payment of the right of way for State Bond Issue noute 4y, where the same passed through the said Village of Yorkville, and on which right of way so purchased from said funds , was constructed the said route 4( , and which construction was made under a contract duly advertised and let by the Department of Public 7orks and buildings, State of Illinois , and which said obligations are described in detail as follows:- La,t e Int . Dollars ( ;Ic500.00) each, issued in accordance with said orainance, numbered one ( 1 ) to twelve (12) , inclusive, and each bona being: a coupon oona, carryinc; appropriate coupons; these 'bonds are not special assessment oonds, but are the direct obligation of the Village of Yorkville, and issued in accordance with an ordinance passed and approved Septe.cber 10 , 1925 , submittea to the voters under an ordinance calling a special election dated Septem- ber 10th , A.D. 1926 , ana apyroved on said gate and at which special election the electors of the Village of Yorkville voted to issue said bongs in accordance with said ordinance, by a vote of 235 in the affirmative, anc 14 in the negative , ana a certified copy of which ordinance, which included interest annually , was filed in the office of the County Clerk of Xe loll County , Illinois , upon October 11th , 1926 , where the same appears of record. That there is Thirty three Dollars and 7� cents ( 3-75)now in the "'rotor Fuel Tax Fund of the Village of Yo.. :ville , aaica amount being in said fund as per audit by you.
