The Regular Monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville , Illinois was held in the
Village Hall of said Village on December 2, 1940 and called to
order by President Devereaux at 8:00 P.I .
Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux
Trustees Schuraacher,Loornis , lunson,Barkley, Marshall and Cler$
Ament. Absent Trustee Schulter.
Minutes of the meetings held October 7 , 1940, October 26,
1940 , October 28, 1940 and November 4, 1940 were read and so
ordered approved.
The regular monthly reports for the months of October and
November prepared by the Clerk, Chief of Police and Police
I'agistrate were read and so ordered approved.

FESOLUTION f
Whereas, the Special Assessment Bonds of Yorkville Special
Assessment for the improvement of Bridge Street of paving and
lighting have all been paid, and,
J1hereas , heretofore the Village of Yorkville has , doting
periods when property owners failed or could not pay their assess-
ments, advanced from it ' s General Fund, sufficient amounts to pay
bonds as they matured and also to pay costs of collection,
advertising and other costs properly chargeable thereto, all of
which aggregates the sum of at least $700.00,and,
Whereas , the amount of monies on hand plus the amount of un-
paid special assessments, with interest to this date, do not
exceedthe aforesaid sum of $700.00, and ,
Now therefore be it resolved that the Collector of Special
Assessments and the Treasurer of the Village of Yorkville be
and they are hereby directed to transfer and turn over to the
General Fund of the Village of Yorkville any sums now on hand
in such Special Assessment Fund.
Be it further resolved that the office od Special Assess-
ment Collector be and the same is hereby abolished and the
Treasurer of the Village is Authorized and directed to receive
any unpaid special assessments and to act in the capacity of
collector of special assessments and when such funds are received
by him he shall credit the same to the General Fund of the Village
of Yorkville in order thatsaid fund may be replenishes to the
extent it has heretofore servedthe 3necial Assessment Fund.
On motion by Trustee Marshall seconded by Trustee Schumacher
the above resolution,relative to the Village of Yorkville
Special Assessments,be passed and adopted as read.
Roll Call Ayes Schumacher,Loomis,'�runsom,Barkley,Marshall
Nays None . Carried and so ordered.
A report from the Illinois Inspection Bureau relative to
to the fire protection in the Village of Yorkville was read.
A letter was read from the Deputy Mate Fire L�arshall
concerning the Katherine Riddle building.
On motion the meeting was adjourned
