A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees j
of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois was held in the Viler^.o
Hall of said Village on April 15, 1941 at 8:00 P.M. pursuant
to the following call:
By order of the President of the Board of Trustees:
You are hereby notified of a special meeting of the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,
Illinois to be held Tuesday, April 15, 1941 at 9:00 P.M. for
the purpose of canvassing the returns of the regular election
held April 15, 1941.

The Clerk read the call and finding notice of said meeting
had been served on the Trustees at the direction of the
President, the following Trustees answered present on roll call:
Present: Loomis, Schulter,Barkley
Absent : rdunson, Schumacher,T:4arshall
A. canvass of the returns of the regular election held Tuesday,
April 15,1941 :was made- and the '.results were as follows;
Total number of votes cast- 160
For President of the Board of Trustees , for full term the voting
was as follows;
L.K. Devereaux received 134 votes
Richard Arundale received 1 vote
Edward Allen received 1 vote
Edward Budd received 1 vote
For Village Clerk, for full term the voting was as follows:
Delbert 7N. Ament received 144 votes
For Member7 of the Board of Trustees, for full term the voting
was as follows:
Frank E. Barkley received 144 votes
James Willer received 1 vote
John R, Marshall received 138 votes
Allen Mayes received 1 vote
James E. Price received 136 motes
Rudolph Rabe received 1 vote
W.C . Ohse received 1 vote
C .W. Beecher received 1 vote
John Behrens received 1 vote
For Police Magistrate , for full term, the voting was O.s follojAls;
L.R. Jeter received 142 votes
John Behrens received 1 vote
Durston Ohse received 1 vote

The following resolution was then read:
r.
! A canvass of the returns of the regular Village election have
been made by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Yorkville, it is found and declared as follows ;-
That L.K. Devereaux is the duly elected President of the
Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville:That Delbert N,
Ament is the duly elected Village Clerk of the Village of
Yorkville:That Frank E. Barkley,John R, Marshall and James E.
Price are the duly elected members of the Board of Trustees of
said Village .: That L.R. Jeter is the (3.uly elected Police
T,'t�. i.str�zte of said Village.
On Motion by Trustee Schulter seconded by Trustee Loomis
the above mentioned resolution be passed and adopted.
Carried and so ordered.
On motion by Trustee Loomis seconded by Trustee Sc'zulter
the Clerk be instructed to extend upon the minutes the results
of the advisory b4.110ts .
Carried and so ordered.
The results of the advisory ballots were as follows
Shall the ,Tillage of Yorkville Adopt Daylight Saving Time ?
Yes; 104 No; 52
Shall the Streets of the Village of Yorkville be Oiled?
Yes; 90 No; 63
Shall the Village Continue a Police Department?
Yes: 79 No: 73
Shall the Village Construct a Sidewalk on the East Side of
Route 47 to Washington Street?
Yes: 78 No: 75
