Trustees Loomis,Munson,Barkley, Schulter,Marshall, Price and

Minutes of the regular meetingsheld May 5, 1941 and of the
special meeting held May 19 1941 were read and so ordered
approved.
The regular monthly reports of:F'the Clerk, Treasurer, Chief of
Police and Police Magistrate were read and so ordered approved.

On motion by Trustee Marshall seconded by Trustee Schulter
the bills be referred to the Finance Committee and be paid if
found to be correct.

Nays.None. Carried and so ordered.
A communication from the University of Illinois in regard
to a school for finance officers was read.
In regard to the hiring of a Chief of Police the Police
committee reported that they wished to defer their report for
another month for further study.

In regard to the hiring of a Superintendent of Streets and
Waterworks the Street and Alley Committee and the Water Committeel,
i�reported that they wished to defer their report for another
;Imonth for further study.
Trustee Munson introduced Mr Spraul of the Public Service
Company who talked to the Board in regard to the changing
of the system of wiring of the Ornimental Street lights on
Bridge Street. He propoeddthat they be wired thru1% meter to
bz=vft in the pump house the connection from the pumphouse
to the lights to be made thru an underground cable. The Village
would be required to dig the ditch and buy the necessary bulbs.
On Motion by Trustee Schulter seconded by Trustee Munson
The Ornemental Street Lights on Bridge Street be connected
' thru the meter in the pump house and permission is hereby
,,given the Public Service Co. to make the necessary connections.

Nays; None. Carried and so ordered.
Mr. Jens Todnem spoke to the Board in regard to the possibility
of his being served by the Village water system.
On motion by Trustee Loomis seconded by Trustee Marshall the
matter of city water for Jens Todnem be referred to the Water
Committe with power to make an investigation.
Carried and so ordered.
On Motion by Trustee Marshall seconded by Trustee Price the
Street and Alley Committee be empowered to purchase the road oil
from the Uids submitted.
