City Council Minutes 1942 03-02-42 Yorkville, Illinois March 2, 1942 o The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois was held in the ';'Village Hall of said Village on March 2, 1942 and was called to j "order by President Devereaux at 8:00 P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux, Trustees; Munson,Barkley,Marshall and Clerk Ament. Absent Trustees Loomis, :Schulter and Price. Minutes of the regular meeting held February 2, 1942 were read and so ordered approved. The regular monthly reports of the Clerk, Treasurer, Chief of Police and Police Magistrate were read and so ordered approved. Bills were then read as follows:- Sheriff of Kendall County Service fees-Brinkman matter $ 5.40 M.N.Beecher P.M. 3¢ stamps post cards 2.00 Franklin Martyn Feb wages & car expense 125.00. President Devereaux ,with7 the approval of the Members of the Board, then appointed Superintendent of Waterworks Barkley to be in charge of the Local Emergency Water Corps. A lease was then read, by which the Village of Yorkville would lease a car from Franklin T. artyn to be used for police work in the Village . On motion by Trustee Barkley seconded by Trustee Marshall the lease be accepted, subject to the securing of an M license. Carried and so ordered.
