A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of ?!
` the Village of Yorkville, Illinois was held in the Village Hall
" of said Village on March 11, 19+2 at 7:00 P.M. pursuant to the
following call;
To the Members of the Village Board:
You are hereby notified that I have called a special meeting
of the 19resent Board of Trustees og the Village of Yorkville to
;be held at the Village Hall on March 11, 19+2 at 7:00 P.M. ,at
which meeting the question of the transportation situation will
be discussed and action taken relative to transportation to and
from said Village .

The Clerk read the call and finding that notice of said
meeting had been served on the Trustees, at the direction of the
President, the following Trustees answered present on roll call;
Present; Loomis,Barkley, Marshall
Abseht ; Itunson, Schulter,Price.
Village Attorney Clark stated that about 70 people of this
community worked out of to!Fm and that about 63 of them worked
in Aurora. He stated that these figures were the results of a
survey that he and Chief of Police 11artyn had made . Mr Clark
also sgid that he had contacted the Burlington Trailways Bus
Line but the traffic manager was out of the city . ?Te said that
he also had'-heard from the Greyhound Bus Line and that they would,
co-operate as much as possible , but were handicapped by the
..restrictions in force.

The following resolution was then read;
Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved that the Village Attorney
be and he is hereby authorized to take all necessary action
before the Commerce Commission to the end that adequate trans-
11portation may be furnished the residents of the Village of YorkB
Mille and those who desire to use transportation to and from the
Qillage of Yorkville, and that said Village Attorney be authorize.
" to file all necessary petetions, including aryl petetion having
as its objective the removal of restrictions of any means of
,; transportation passing through said Village.
On motion by Trustee Marshall seconded by Trustee Loomis
;; the above resolution concerning transportation to and from the
:'Village of Yorkville be passed and adopted as read.
Carried and so ordered.

!p On motion by Trustee Barkley seconded by Trustee 1jarshall
that the President of the Board of Trustees apboint a committee
from the officials of said Village to have charge of transport-
ation matters, and that said committee have power to act in the
absence pf specific direct&ons from the Village Board.
Carried and so ordered.
President Devereaux thenappointed the following personsto be
members of the Transportation Committee
Franklin Martyn, Chairman
J.R. Marshll.
F.E. Barkley.
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
