City Council Minutes 1942 08-03-42 Yorkville, Illinois August 3, 1942 --Adak The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of ,'Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois was held in the "Village Hall of said Village on August 3, 1942 and was called to ,;order by President Devereaux at 9:00 P.111. Finding present on roll call were President Devereaux, Trustees lAunson,Schulter,Barkley,Marshall and Clerk Ament . Absent; Trustee Loomis and Price. T-Iinutes of the regular meeting held July 6, 1942 and of the adjourned regular meeting held July 13, 1942 were read and so ordered approved. II I Yorkville, Illinois August 3, 1942 Attorney Clerk stated that he had written to Miss Bessie Dunn in regard to the condition of her premists a nd that she in turn ;Ihad agreed to do her best to get the place cleaned up. Attorney Clark also reported to the board in regard to the transportation situation In and out of the Village, stating thatthe Grayhound Bus Line was to discontinue operation through the 'Tillage in the near future, and that he thought that possibly some additional service might be gotten from the . Burlington Rail Road or Bus Line . Mir Walter Deuchler , Engineer spoke to the Board regarding 0 the application of a seal coat to the black top on Fox Road to be financed out of rotor Fuel Tax Funds also the possibility of placing the the Sewage Disposal project in the Public Works LD Reserve and of a survey of East VanEmmon Street for black topping. On motion by Trustee Barkley seconded by Trustee 11unson that Walter Deuchler Co be employed, in connection with Motor Fuel Tax, to do engineering work on Fox Road to procure a seal coat and necessary Improvements this year; also To make a survey and report as to Van EmmenSt. from Bridge St east to the vi1Jag6 :.ltmits. , ,Roll Call : Ayes; Itunson, Schulter,Barkley,llarshall Nays; None. Carried and so ordered. The Board made inquiries of Tir Deuchler regarding a chlorinator for use at the spring and he stated that a solution feed chlorinator ,icould probably be had for around $250-00 also that the State , Dept . of Public Health -would have to an-prove any chlorinator installed. President Devereaux, at the Boabdls request , asked Mr. Deuchler to contact the State Department of Public Health in regard to a- chlorinator for use at the spring. Mr. Rudolph Rabe spoke to the Board regarding the settling ,, !iof the foundation of his house,which he thought was due tai. the 1 the le7aks in the water main which had occured in the main in the street in front of his house . President Devereaux appointed Trustees Barkley,Schulter and!' 11unson as a committee to look into the Rabe matter and report at 1� the next regular meeting.
