City Council Minutes 1943 03-01-43 MARCH 1, 1943, REGULAR MEETING The regular meeting of the Village Board of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, was held March 1, 1943, at the Villager Hall. Members present were: Schulter, Munson, Marshall, l Barkley, and Loomis. Absent : Price. The President of the Village Board having died, { Trustee F. G. Loomis was by unanimous vote selected as Mayor pro ternpore for this meeting. The opinion of the Village * I, Attorney was asked as to the situation arising by reason of the death of the President, and it appearing that there was sufficient time in which to give notice of election to fill vacancy at the regular election, the following ordinance was offered and its adoption moved by Trustee Schulter, viz : (See next page i is ,i � ¢3 3+ i II i 'I t !I j ii t I BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County,-. Illinois: Section 1 . The general election of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, of April 20, 1943, shall be held at tile Village Hall, tD Yorkville, Illinois. Qection N. That Joe Eccles, ';gill Campbell and Jennie Abient are hereby appointed Jud[-,',es of said election, and Jennie Eng'AL, Della Breese and L. R. Jeter Clerks thereof. Section 3. That the T)ur-oose of said election is to elect a President (to fill vacancy) ; three trustees; and one trustee (to fill vacancy) . Section 4. That the Villu.ge. Nayes: none. The resignation of James Price as Trustee, heretofore filed with the Clerk was read and on motion duly made by Trustee Marshall, seconded by Trustee Schulter, and unanirnouslyl carried, said resignation was formally accepted . Schulter, Munson, Marshall, Barkley, and Loomis. Nayes: none. �t On motion made by Barkley, seconded by Munson, and unanimously carried, F. G. Loomis was directed to execute all instruments required to be executed by the President of the Village Board. �± Ii The Village Clerk made a verbal report as to the gas audit.
