City Council Minutes 1943 04-20-43 (Special CC) Yorkville , Illinois April 20, 1943 OR A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville , Illinois was held on April 20, 1943, at the hour of 7 : 30 P.M. , pursuant to a call signed by three of the Trustees of said Village as follows; To Delbert N. Ament and to all Members of the Village Board of the Tillage of Yorkville , Kendall County, Illinois: A Special Meeting is hereby called for April 20 , 1943, at the hour of 7: 30 P.M. at theVillage Hall in Yorkville , Illinois , for ,i the purpose of canvassing the returns of the election to be held ,; on said April 20, 1943. The Clerk will notify all other members of said meeting, which is hereby called by the three undersigned .: Trustees , pursuant to Statute . Signed J.R. Uarshall . Clair 0. 11unson. F. G. Loomis. The Clerk called the roll with the following result. Present; Trustees ,iu'unson,Loomis ,Barkley,Schulter. Absent ; Trustee , Larshall. The President of the Village Board having died, Trustee F.B. Barkley was unanimously voted to be Mayor Pro tempore for this meeting. Thereupon , the Board of Trustees canvassed the returns of jag theelection held on April 20, 1943, and after such canvass the following resolution was presented by Trustee Loomis who moved its adoption Be it and it id hereby resolved that the results of the election held on April 20, 1943 are as follows: Frank Barkley received 46 votes President to fill vacancy. F. Pennuto received 1 vote for President to fill vacancy. Charles Schumacher received 45 votes for Trustee to fill IR vacancy. Clarence Schulter,P. G. Loomis , and Clair Munson received th following votes respectively, Viz: 44,44,41 , for Trustee , and August Bngh, Ed Forsell, and E.B. Allen each received the follow-1 ing, votes , respectively, for Trustee , 1, 1, 1 . It is further resolved as follows: That Frank Barkley, havi g received the majority of the votes cast for President to fill vacancy, is hereby declared to be elected to such office ; that Charles Schumacker having received the majority of the votes cas for Trustee to fill vacancy, is hereby declared to be elected to such office ; that F. G.Loomis,Clarence Schulter, and Clair Munson, having received the highest number of votes cast for the office of Trustee , they and each of them are hereby declared to be the duly electedtrustees of the Village of Yorkville for the regular four year term, provided the President shall furnish bond as required by law in the penal sum of $3000.00. Trustee Munson seconded Trustee Loomis ' motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution and the following roll call vote i was recorded. Roll Call .
