ii The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees
Hof the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois was held
iin the Village Hall of said Village on Monday August 7, 1944
at 9;00 P.A .
President Barkley .being absent Trustee Zeiter was unanimously
;: voted to be President Pro Tempore for this meeting.
Finding present on roll ¢all were Trustees Loomis, Schumacher"

Absent; President Barkley and Trustees Munson and Schulter. i
The minutes for the months of June and July 1944 were read
and so ordered approved.
The regular monthly report of the Clerk was read and so
ordered approved.

The annual Tax Levy Ordinance was then read and on motion
by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Marshall the annual
Tax Levy Ordinance be passed and adopted as read.
Roll Call- Ayes Loomis, Schumacher,Marshall, Zeiter
Nays None- Carried and so ordered.
The following resolution was then read;
In view of the fact that the Village of Yorkville, is being if
subjected to claims for liability on account of injury as a
l;
result of collisions of motor vehicles with the standardin the`'
i
middle of Bridge Street at the C.B. & Q. Rail Road crossing,
and while the Village denies such liability, but believing that
the maintenance of said standard has been, and will be if
replaced, a hazard to the public;
Therefore, be it resolved that the Village Attorney j
take all steps necessary before the Illinois Commerce Commission,
to the� end that standard flasher signals be installed and
maintained by said Railroad at each side of said Bridge Street, '`
in place of the present installation.
On motion by Trustee Loomis seconded by Trustee Marshall
that the resolution regarding the railway signal at Bridge
Street be passed and adopted.
Carried and so ordered.
On motion the meeting was adjourned
