City Council Minutes 1945 04-17-45 (Special CC) Yorkville, Illinois April 17, 1945 A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois was held on Tuesday, April 17, 1945, at the Village Hall of said Village ,t at the hour of 7:30 o' clock P.M. pursuant to the following call ji To the Members of the Village Board of Trustees: You are hereby notified of a special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville to be held in the Village Hall on April 17, 1945 at the hour of 7:30 o' clock P.M. for the purpose of canvassing the returns of an election to be held on said April 17, 1945. Barkley , President The Clerk read the call and finging that notice of said meeting had been served upon all Members of the Board of Truste s, called the roll with the following result; j Present: President Barkley,11embers Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter Schulter, Loomis,Munson. Absent : None. Thereupon, the Board of Trustees canvassed the returns of the election held April 17, 1945, and after such canvass the following resolution was presented by Trustee Munson who moved } its adoption. Be it and it is hereby resolved that the results of the election held on April 17, 1945 are as follows: Frank E. Barkley received 22 votes for President of Board of Trustees . Charles Schumacher received 22 votes for Trustee J.R. Marshall received 22 votes for Trustee Jacob Zeiter received 22 Votes for Trustee Delbert N. Ament received 22 votes foe Village Clerk L.R. Jeter received 21 votes for Police Magistrate . It is further resolved as follows: That Frank E. Barkley having received the majority of the votes cast for President, is hereby declared to be elected to such office; that Charles Schumacher,J.R. Marshall,and Jacob Zeiter, having received the highest number of votes cast for the office of Trustee, they and each of them are hereby declared to be ftlytelected Trustee of the Village of Yorkville for the regular four year term;that Delbert N. Ament, having received the majority of the votes cast for the office of Village Clerk, is hereby declared to be elected to such office; that L.R. Jeter, having received the majority of the votes cast for the office of Police Magistrate, th hereby declared to be elected to such office, provided the i; President shall furnish bond as required by lair in the penal stun of $3,000.00 and the Village Clerk shall furnish bond as ;; required by law in the penal sum of $1,000.00 Yorkville, Illinois April 17, 1945 Trustee Schulter seconded Trustee Munson' s motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution and the following roll call vote was recorded; Roll Call : Ares; Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter,Schulter,Lomis,Muhs n Nays; None.
