City Council Minutes 1946 05-06-46 Yorkville Illinois May 6, 196 The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois was held in the Village Hall of said Village on Monday, May 6, 1946 and was called to order by President Barkley at 1:30 o'cloc P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Barkley, Trustee 1': Loomis,Munson,3chumacher,Marshall, Zeiter and Clerk Ament. !k Absent: Trustee Schulter. Minutes of the meetings held April 1, 1946 and April 15, 194 were read and so ordered approved. The regular monthly report of the Clerk was read and ardered i approved. Carried and so ordered. i Mr. Cash of the State Highwajr Department spoke to the Board in regard to the flasher signal at Bridge Street and stated that the Villagebs share of the cost of moving the signal to the �e sides of the street would, as determined by the estimate of lOctober 1945, be $940.00. The aktaa above mentioned share being i one quarter of the total.cost. On motion by Trustee Schumacher, seconded by Trustee Marshall to appropriate from Motor Fuel Tax Funds the amount shown under the estimate of October 1945 for 6henge of flasher signal. 'i Roll Call*- Ayes Loomis,llunson,Schumacher,llarshall,Zeiter Nays None. Carried and so ordered. The resignation of C.M. Schulter as Member of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville was read. On motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Munson the resignation of C.M. Schulter be accepted. Carried and so ordered. There was no motion for a special election to fill the j vacancy in the Village Board. The Villagg Clerk stated that he had received the annual report of the Village Treasurer. On motion by Trustee Marshall seconded by Trustee Zeiter the position of Clarence M. Schulter as Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals be declared vacant. Carried and so ordered. I� President Barkley appointed Chas. W. Schumacher to be member '' of the Zoning Board of Appeals and the appointment was approved Iby the Village Board by unanimous vote. Ii is f Ii I' Yorkville Illinois May 6, 1946 On motion by Trustee Loomis seconded by Trustee Marshall =' that the present Superintendent of Steets and Water Works and the '' Night Watchman be reemployet at the same wages as heretofore and ! the Firemen be reappointed with the exception of William Bieritz. Carried and so ordered. Ray Feuerborn presented a bill of $1,402.00 for work on the W ell to April 30, 1946 and on motion by Trustee Loomis seconded ; by Trustee Marshall the bill pf Ray Feuerborn of $1,402.00 _' less 15% be referred to the Finance Committe and be paid if found to be correct. ; Roll Call- Ayes- Loomis,Munson,Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter a' Nays- None . Carried and so ordered I` The Clerk' s Report of Estimates was read and ordered placed on file. Two communications from the Division of Highways were read and ordered placed on file. G A resolution of appreciation of services rendered as Member ' of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville by 11Clarence M. Schulter was read and on motion by Trustee Schumacher ;; seconded by Trustee Loomis the said resolution be passed and : adopted. The resolution was passed by unanimous vote of all !! members.
