City Council Minutes 1946 06-03-46 Yorkville, Illinois June 3, 1946 3 i1 j The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of 1+ Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,Kendall County, Illinois was held in the Village Hall of said Village on Monday June 3, 1946 and was called to order by President Barkley at 7:30 o' cloc P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Barkley,Trustees Loomis,Munson,Schumacher,Marshall,and Clerk Ament. j Absent: Trustee Zeiter Minutes on the meeting held May-6, 1946 were read and so ordered approved. Carried and so ordered. Yorkville, Illinois June 3, 1946 Ask The Clerk reported the receipt of $12.00 from Fred Schneider as payment for the burned fire truck sold as junk. The said $12.00 to be placed to the General Fund. it I' A communication from R.J . Riemenschneider, Secretary and Treasurer of the Yorkville Fire Department was read, stating that the said department had been dissolved on May 22, 1946 j and enclosed a check for $264.47,representing the balance in 11 1 the 2% fund of the Yorkville Fire Department. President Barkley directed that the Clerk notif$ Mr 0. Harry Shefveland, agent fo# the workmen' s compensation insurance policy, of the dissolution of the Yorkville Fire Department. On motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Marshall that the $264.7 received from the Yorkville Fire Department ` ,be held pending the settlement of the Fire District matter. Carried and so orddred. President Barkley appointed Trustee F.G. Loomis to be a it member of the Police and Fire Committee , filling the vacancy s, left by the resignation of C.11. Schulter. A communication from the Division of Highways in regard to i additions to the Arterial Street System in Yorkville was Lead. A RESOLUTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF ARTERIAL STREETS OR STATE HIGHWAYS BY MUNICIPALITY UNDER MOTOR FUEL TAX LASH was read and E on motion by Trustee Schumacher seconded by Trustee Marshall the said Resolution be passed and adopted. ROLL CALL- AYES- Loomis, Munson,Schumacher,Marshall NAYS- None. Carried and so ordered. A communication from the Division of Highways in regard to i, the railroad flasher signil at Btate Route 47.was read. A RESOLUTION FOR IMPROVEMENT BY MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE MOTOR FUEL TAX LAW (Flasher Sighal) was read and on motion by Trustee Loomis seconded by Trustee Munson the said Resolution be adopted and order number 32295 of the Illinois Commerce Commission be accepted. ROLL CALL-Ayev- Loomis,Munson,Schumacher,Marshall Nays- None. Carried and so ordered. The Clerk reported the receipt of $1,347. 50 fvcd the Division of Highways on the Resolution for maintenance of Arterial Street passed April 15,1946. A Communication from the Yorkville Memorial Committee in regEad to a donation was read . Village has no funds appropriated for this purpose and therefore unable to make donation.
