City Council Minutes 1947 04-07-47 Yorkville, Illinois April 7, 1947 ' The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County,Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday, the 7th day of April, 1947 and was called to order at 7:30 o' clock P.M. by President Barkley. Finding present on roll call were : President Barkley, Trustees P,i unson,Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter and Clerk Ament Absent: Trustee Loomis . Minutes of the meeting held March 3, 1947 were read and so ordered approved. The regular monthly report of the Clerk was read and so ordered approved. A communication from t Greyhound Lines in regard to a change in route south of Yo kville was read. s' i Yorkville, Illinois April 7, 1947 The Clerk reported in the matter of insurance .for the Village ', Hall and the pump house that there is no insurance on the pump house and $300.00 insurance on the Village Hall,$200.00 on the contents and$200 .00 on the shed at the rear of the Village Hall. i On motion by Trustee Marshall, seeonded by Trustee Zeiter that the pump house be insured for $1,200.00, the contents of same for $900.00, that the insurance on the Village Hall be incre sed to $1, 500.00 the contents to remain at $200.00 and the shed at at the rear of the Village Hall be increased to $500.00. l Roll Call-Ayeo;Munson,Schumacher,Marshall ,Zeiter Nays: None. Carried and so ordered. 4 f A Daylight Saving T&me Ordinance was then read and on Imotion by Trustee Schumacher, seconded by Trustee Marshall the �j said Daylight Saving Time Ordinance be passed and adopted. Carried and so ordered. ( See following page) ,I The following resolution was then read; Be it resolved that the following persons are selected has Judges and Clerks of the regular Village election to be held i on April 15, 19+7; JUDGES: A.C. Engh Jennie N. Ament Leonard M. Larson j CLERKS: Lena Bretthauer Lydia Larson Elsie Berg Be it further resolved that the Village Clerk notify said persons of their selection. f On motion by Trustee Marshall, seconded by Trustee Schumach ! that the said resolution be passed and adopted. I'f I I AN ORDINANCE Be it Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville : Section 1. That from and after April 27, 1947 at 2:00 o 'clock A.M. to and until September 28, 1947 at 1:00 o 'clock A.M. the ', time officially used by said Village , shall be what is known as i ,, Central Daylight Saving Time , that is a time one hour faster ,' than Central Standard Time; Section 2. Where any time is given or set for the doing of '; any official act and the hour or time thereof given, such is ` Daylight Saving Time shall apply thereto notwithstanding any i use of the designation Central Standard Time; Section 3. Should any Act of Congress duly establish a time for the United States generally, then this ordinance shall have no force . or effect; Section 4. That a certified copy of this ordinance be transmitted to the Recorder of Deeds of Kendall County, Illinois; Section 5.
