May 5, 1947
A regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville , Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of the said Village on Monday,
!' May 5 , 1947 abd was called to order by President Barkley at
7: 30 o ' clock P.M.
Finding present on roll call were President , Barkley, Trusjree
Loomis ,Y-unson,Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter and Clerk Ament.
Absent : None.
Minutes off the meetings held April 7 , 1947 and April 15, 1947
were read and so ordered approved.

The regular monthly reports of the Clerk were read and so
ordered approved.
The following resolution was then read;
I
Be it resolved that the sum of $84. 40 , be transferred and set`
over to the general fund from the police fund.
Be it further resolved that the sum of $500.00 be transferred
from the water fund to the general fund, such amount to apply on
the sum heretofore transferred to the water fund from the genera
fund.
On motion by Trustee Mars#all,seeonded by Trustee Munson th t
the foregoing resolution be passed and adopted.

The following resolution was then read
i RESOLUTION
i
Be it resolved that the duties of Superintendent
of Streets and Superintendent of Waterworks of the Village �
I! of Yorkville ,Illidois be performed by one individual, and
his salary be fixed for the ensuing year at the sum of
$2,000.00,payable in equal monthly insatllments, 65�,
�i from the general fund and 35d from the water works fund. I
Be it further resolved that the salary of any other I
emplyee or officer of the Village remain as heretofore , Ii
except the President and Trustees shall receive $5 .00 for
I each regular meeting attended and the Treasurer shall receive
$150.00 per annum,50, from the general fund and 50�, from the �!
water works fund.
Be it further resolved that the bunt:_aft:. the Village
Treasurer remain at $10,000.00.

The report of Village Attorney Clark to May 1 , 1947 wasread
and on motion by Trustee Schumacher,seconded by Trustee Marshall

Upon favorable vote President Barkley declared the motion
carried and so ordered.

The following resolution was then read;
RESOLUTION.
Be it and it is hereby resolved that this Board extend
to Clair 0. Munson our retiring member who did not seek re-
election, the thanks of the individual members for his untiring
service and co-operation during the years we have worked toget er.
Be itfurther resolved that this Board spread upon its
records this resolution, which shall record an expression df
appreciation of the faithful services Of Clair 0. Munson as
Trustee of the Village of Yorkville , Kendall County, Illinois.
Be it further resolved that a certified copy of this
resolution be sent to the said Clair 0. Munson.
On motion by Trustee Loomis,seconded by Trustee Schumacher
the foregming resolution be passed and adopted.
All members voting aye ,President Barkley declared the resoluti n
passed and adopted.
On motion by Trustee Marshall, eeconded by Trustee Zeiter
that the meeting be adjourned.

on April 15, 1947) met upon the adjournment of' the meeting of
the retiring Board on May 5, 1947 .
Finding present on roll call were ; President Barkley, Trustee

It appearing that all oaths were in proper order and had been
duly filed. i

The Clerk stated that he had received the Annual Report of the
Ivillage Treasurer.
The Clerk's Estimate for the current year was read and
President Barkley directed that the sajrd report be placed on
file .
On motion by Trustee Schumacher,seconded by Trustee Windett
that the question of investing unused sewage disposal funds be
referred to the Finance Committee to be reported on at the
next meeting.
Upon favorable vote ,President Barkley declared the motion carried
and adopted.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF NORTHERY
ILLINOIS, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS,TO CONSTRUCT,OPERATE AND
MAINTAIN AN ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM IN AND THROUGH THE
( VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE?KBNDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS was read and on
motion by Trustee Schumacher,seconded by Trustee Loomis the said
! ordinance be referred to the Light Committee .
Upon favorable vote ,President Barkley declared the motion carried
and so ordered.

the proposed change of rolte .
On motion by Trustee Loomis ,seconded by Trustee 14arshall that
the matter of Ivor Olson making connection to the Heustit Street
sewer and for water connection be referred to the Plater Committee
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
