The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday,July 7,
1947 and was called to order by President Barkley at 7:30 o' cloc
P.M.
Finding present on roll call were President BarkleyV Trustee

Absent: None.

Minutes- of the meetings held in May and June were read and
so ordered approved.
The regular monthly report of the Clerk was read and so
ordered approved.

The Clerk read an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHOR-
IZING PUBLIC SERVICE CO. OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS,ITS SUCCESSORS
AND ASSIGNS TO CONSTRUCT?OPERATE?AND MAINTAIN AN ELECTRIC
LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM IN AND THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE,
KENDALL COUNTY,ILLINOIS, " for a period of fifty years.
Moved by Windett and seconded by Price that the ordinance
entitled" AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PUBLIC SERVICE CO. OF
NORTHERN ILLINOIS,ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS TO CONSTRUCT,
OPERATE AND MAINTAIN AN ELECTRICT LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM IN
AND THROUGH THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE,KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, "
as read by the Clerk be adopted.

Nays- None.
President Barkley declared the motion carried and so ordered.
Moved by Marshall,seconded by Windett that Walter A. Leifheit
be appointed Commissioner of Noxious Reeds by this Village under
"An Act Concerning Noxious Weeds,with compensation to be limited
to the sum of #30.00 per year and the Department of Agriculture
be notified of such appointment.

Nays; None.
President Barkley declared the motion carried and so ordered.
The annual appropriation ordinance was read and on motion by
Marshall , seconded by Price the annual appropriation ordinance
be passed".and adopted as read.

Nays; None.
President Barkley declared the motion awe carried and so ordered
A communication from F.H. Hance in regard to taverns was
read and directed filed.

An application for building permit was read fromthe Kendall
Farmers Oil Company for the construction of two warehouses and
on motion by aindett, seconded by Marshall the application
' for building permit be referred to the Building & Zoning
Committee with power to act.
Upon favorable vote,President Barkley declared the motion
carried and so ordered.
On motion the meeting was adjourned
