City Council Minutes 1948 04-05-48 Yorkville, Illinois April 5, 1945 The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday,April 5, X1945 and was called to order by President Barkley at 7:30 o' clock P.M. Finding present on roll call were: President Barkley, ! Trustees Loomis,Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter,Price,Windett and ,! Trustees Ament. I' Absent: None. Minutes of the regular meeting held in March were read and so ordered approved. The regular report of the Clerk was read and so ordered ! approved. ! Yorkville, Illinois April 5, 1949 A DAYLIGHT SAVING ORDINANCE,providing that from the last Sunday in April until the last Sunday in September of each year the time officially used in the Village of Yorkville shall be Daylight Saving Time, was read and on motion by Trustee Price, seconded by Trustee Zeiter that the Daylight Saving Ordinance be passed and adopted. Upon a favorable vote, President Barkley declared the motion parried and the ordinance passed and adopted. A report of Walter Leifheit, Noxious Weed Commissioner was read and so ordered approved. The resignation of Walter Leifheit from the office of Noxious Weed Commissioner was read and on Motion by Trustee Marshall, seconded by Trustee Zeiter that resignation of Walter Leifheit be accepted. Upon favorable vote, President Barkley declared the motion carried and so ordered. dent A communication from James * Talbott ,Superinten/ of Schools regarding pin ball Machines was read and directed placed on file. Clinton Heap and F.E. Pennuto spoke to the Board regarding the making of an alley from Hydralie Avenue to the rear of Heap' s store and President Barkley directed that the mattet be referred to the Street and Alley Committee.
