City Council Minutes 1949 04-04-49 Yorkville,Illinois April 4, 1949 Aft The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,Kendall County,Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday, April 4, 1949 and was called to order by President Barkley at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Barkley, Trustees Loomis,Schumacher,Marshall,Seiter,Price and Clerk Ament Absent: Trustee Windett. i, Minutes of the regular meeting held March 7, 1949 were read !j and so ordered approved. I The regular monthly report of the Clerk was read and so i ordered approved. Carried and so ordered. Ij I i Yorkville,Illinois April 4, 1949 Walter S. Olsen, Walter J. O1sen,Leonard M. Lorson,and L.C. Doetschman were present in regard to the matter of the eXtension of Mill Street to State Route 126 and the matter was discussed. Moved by Trustee Zeiter that the necessary steps be taken to extend Mill Street south to the Village limits, to vacate �j Plainfield road south-east from the eabt line of Mill Street to the Village limits, and that the sum of $300.00 be used to pay for necessary right of way, damage on closing of street, all with the understanding that the Town of Kendall extend Mill Street in a 6traight line to Route 126, such appropriation of $300.00 to include the construction cost of the proposed street in so far as the Village is concerned. Seconded by Trustee Marshall. RollCall- On first call Trustee Loomis passed. Those voting aye were Trustees Schumacher,Marshall,Zeiter,Price. When called the seconds time Trustee Loomis did not vote. President Barkley declared the motion carried and so ordered . A resolution for the selection of Judges and Clerks for the regular election to be held April 19,1949 was read and on motion by Trustee Marshall, seconded by Trustee Price that the resolution be passed and adopted.
