City Council Minutes 1949 06-06-49 Yorkville, Illinois June 6, 1949 The regular monthly Meeting of the- President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County,Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday, June 6, 1949 and was called to order by President Renfro at 7:30 o' clock P.M. Finding Present on roll call were President Renfro, Trustees Loomis,Price,Windett,Horton,Leifheit, Hughes and Clerk Ament. Absent;None appro ed. Minutes ofl the meetings held in May 1949 were read and so ordereiV L.A. Hanson was present and the matter of right of way to Village pumping station and for water mains was discussed and a resolution covering these matters was read . On motion by Trustee Loomis , seconded by Trustee Price, that the resolution regarding the right of way across- the i L.A. Hanson property be passed and adopted. Carried and so ordered. i Chairman Windett of the Street and Alley Committee reported li in the matter 'of the improvement of the arterial streets of (� the Village by motor fuel tax funds and presented an estimate and resoltion for said improvement. j fi4XDQX%XX R The resolution for the improvement of the artmerial streets of the Village by motor fuel tax funds was read and on motion by Trustee Windett, seconded by Trustee Hughe that the s resolution be passed and adopted. Trustee Loomis asked that the Street and Alley Committee bring in a report at the next meeting of the estimated cost of repair and oiling of non-arterial struts of the Village. The committee agreed to do so. Chairman Windett of the Auditing Committeed reported that he and his committee had audited the Village books and had found them to be correct. Trustees Loomis presented the following statement which was read by the Cler$: (See following page) Yorkville, Illinois June 6, 1949 As a member of the present Village Board of Yorkville, as constituted since the first of May 1949, and as one who served with those whose terms recently expired, I think it fit and proper that in some way in a more lasting manner than by the search of years of records, their service and appreciation of that service be called to public attention. And the new board having gone over the reports of the old �Iboard, it is with that in view that I present the following statement,ask that it be read by our Clerk, in this meeting and I move that this statement �)e adopted by this Board,made a part of the permanent record of this meeting, and that a copy be sent to each of the officials named in the statement, and I request that some mention be made in our official newspaper of this action.
