City Council Minutes 1950 08-07-50 YorkvillegIllinois August 7, 1950 The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday August 71' 1950 and was called to order by President Loomis at 7:30 o'clock' P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Loomis, Trustees Windett,Price,Horton,Leifheit and Clerk Ament. Absent: Trustee Hughes. Minutes of the regular meeting held July 3, 1950 and of the adjourned regular meeting held July 17, 1950 were read and so ordered approved. The regular monthly reports of the Clerk and Police Magistrate and Chief of Police were read and so ordered approved! Roll Call: Ayes; Windett,Price,Horton,Leifheit. Nays; MMTNKXXNN None. Carried and so ordered. Trustee Windett, Chairman of the Public Buildings Committee reported that all electrical work at the Village Hall had been completed,with the exception of the fixtures. An application for building permit from George M. Dickson, Homer G. Dickson and Ira Perkins was read and there being no objection the permit will be granted. President Loomis appointed Trustee Price as a member of the Committee on Building & Zoning. A communication from the State Highway department in regard to the lights and signs on the bridge was read. The matter of the electrical fixtures for the Village Hall a and the condition of the roof of the Village Hall and the garage; to the rear of it were discussed and President Loomis directed that theses matters be referred to the Public Buildings Committe. . On motion by Trustee Price, seconded by Trustee Horton that the Street and Alley be empowered to have trees removed from, and to strai `emM.;Mill Street north of Van Emmon Street with E power to act.
