The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
' Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Villa?e Hall of said Village on Monday, February ,51
1951 and was called to order by President Loomis at 7:30 o'clock .

Finding present on roll call were President Loomis, Trustee's
Windett,Price,Horton,Leifheit,Hughes and Clerk Ament.
Absent; None.
Minutes of the meeting held January 2, 1951 were read and
so ordered approved.
The regular monthly reports of the Clerk, Chief of Police
and Police Magistrate were read and so ordered approved.

On motion by Trustee Price, seconded by Trustee Horton that
! the bills be referred to the Finance Committee and b paid if

Trustee Price introduced Walter E. Deutbhl6r , engineer
11who spoke to the Hoard in regard to the improvement of the
jwater supply for the Village of Yorkville. Mr Deutchler also
presented a contract for the engineering services in connection
with the said improvement, the contract being read by the filerk
and =9 referred to the Water Committe for consideration.
The resignation of James Barkley as Superintendent of Streets.
;; and Water Work, effective February 1, 1951,was read and on motion;
11by Trustee Pricemseconded by Trustee Horton that the resignation
1! of James Barkley be accepted.

President Loomis appointed Arthur R. Willman to be Superintendent
of Streets and Water Works the salary to be fixed at the rate
of $2,600.00 per year (gross) ,payable 65% from General Fund and
35% from Water Fund.
Roll Call- President and Trustees voting jointly.
Ayes: Loomis,Windett,Price,Horton,I.eifheit,Hughes.
Nays : None
The appointment of Arthur R. Willman for Superintendent of`;
Streets and Water Works was approved.
A communication from George M. Lane was read regarding
is change intthe sidewalks in the Bridge Street business section,
the letter being referred to the Clerk for filing.
A communication from the Illinois Commerde Commission
was read regarding the proposed increase in telephone rates and
President Loomis stated that the Village Attorney would attend
the hearing and register protest.
Chief of Police spoke to the Board regarding the licensigg
bread and bakery trucks and the matter was referred to the
! Police Committee for investigation.
,' Chief Martyn also[ mentioned the possibility of a two-way
! radio for the police car and President Loomis directed the mattee
Ito the Police and Finance Committee.

II Trustee Hughes of the Light Committee presented blue prints
;!and estimates of costs for new street lights for the Bridge Stree
business section, but no action was taken pending the obtaining
of cost of installation estimates. !'
President Loomis appointed Trustees Windett and Price
as a committee to obtain a gift for James Barkley.
