City Council Minutes 1951 08-06-51 Yorkville,Illinois August 6, 1951 The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,Kendall County,jllinois was held at the Village Hall of said village on Monday ,August 6r 1951 and was called to order by President Hance at 7:30 o'clock P.M. si 4 Finding present on roll call were President Hance,Trustees Price,Windett,Horton,Leifheit,Hughes,Merkel and Clerk Ament. Absent; None. Minutes of the regular meeting held July 291951 and of the special meeting held July 24,1951 were read and so ordered approved. !! The regular monthly reports of the Clerk and Chief of Police were read and so ordered approved. CARRIED AND SO ORDERED. i A communication from the Division of Highways regarding highway signs and pavement markings was read and ordered filed. << A petition,urging the repeal of the Food Stuff Carrier Licensing s Ordinance,signed by twenty persons, was r"d•as was sli6t6or !' from Village Attorney Clark outlining what might be done in �o regard to the aforementioned petition. j On motion by Trustee Windett,seconded by Trustee Hughes thai the petition urging the repeal of the Food Carrier Licensing Ordinance be placed on file. The matter of a new Illinois Bell Telephone Company Ordinance 1i was discussed and President Hance directed that the Proposed Illinois Bell Telephone Co. Ordinance 2W be referred to the II II Public Property and Buildings Committee and the Village Attorney, for the developement of a new telephone ordinance. The matter of a new dog ordinance was discussed but no action taken. i' On motion by Trustee Hughes,seconded by Trustee Horton thatlt the meeting be adjourned.
