Regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Yorkville,was held in the hose house in Yorkville,
. Monday Evening, April, let,1918.
President Ament called the .meeting to order at 8 o' clock
P.M. The roll call was taken the following members respondin
A.H.Van Emen, M.N.Beeeher,George Ohse,and W.G.Wollenweber,
Absent; A.C.Merkel and Frank E.An!ent.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read
and approved as read.
The following bills were read by the clerk;

On a motion by tristee Ohse seconded by Trustee
Van Emon the bills were referred to the finance committee with
the instructions that if they were found correct orders, to be
drawn for the payment of the same. Motion earried,all members
present affirming the motion.
Trustee Beecher of and for the Street and Alley •
Committee reported that that body had purchased of the Johnson
Oil Refining Company Of Chkoago Heights, Ill. ,one 8000 Gal.Car
of road oil at 08 cents per Gal.F.O.B.Yorkville, Delivery to be
made on or about May.15th,1918. By a verbal statement the oil
was to contain a Specific Gravity of at le&66 20-22 which was
omitted in contract submitted by the Company.
On a motion by 'trustee Beeeher, seccnded by Trustee Ohee,
It was voted to reject the contract and return the same for
eorrection,the clerk being instructed so to do.
There beina no further business to come before the board

On a motion by Trustee Ohse, seconded by Trustee Beecher,
She bills were referred to the finance comn.ittee with the instruct
ions that if they were found to be correct orders were to be drawn
for the payment of the same. The motion carried all members press
affirming the motion.
At this time Trustee Beecher retirAng chairman of the Street and
Alley core-ittee reported a balance -of -18. 40 due the Village of
Yorke lle from the Misses 14ason for sidewalk constructed during
the year 1917. Payment being refused on account of a crack
.appearing in one block of the sidewalk constructed.
The annual rer�ort of O.C.Knudson,Viliage Treasurer,
was submitted and read by the clerk,the same was accepted,approv d
and ordered_published on a motion by Wollenweber seconded by Bee her
and affirmed by all members of the board present.
At this time, the clerk by and with the consent of the
Chairman and members of the hoard,orened and canvassed the
result of the Village rlection,Held in the ',qocP House in Yorkvil e
Tuesday April,16th,1918, which was as follows;

On a motion by mrustee Beecher seconded by Trustee Merkel
and carried
, the board accepted and approved the above report
and declared that in as much as George Barkley,B.J. Stumn. and
George Ohse,Trurate-�s elect and Jay F.Moore Village Clerk elect
had recei-*ed the greatest number of votes cast at the said
Village Election, that they be declared elected to serve as
Village Trustees for the ensueing year and the clerk be
instructed to so notify them. Motion unanimously affirmed.
Trustees elect reorge Ohse and B.J. Gtuw, being present
each came forward and assumed the oath of office in open
meeting administered by the retiring Village Clerk C.`".Beecher.
There being no further business the board adjourned.
