June,4th,1917.
The regular monthly me- ting of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Yorkville,was held in the Hose House in Yorkville$
Monday Evening. June,4th,1917.
President George D.Ament called the meeting to order
at '8 o'clock P.M. The roll call was taken the following
members resppnding as present; M.N.B eecher, ,- ,George Ohee and
A.C.Merkel.F.E.Ament and A.H.Van Emon. Absent W.G.W011enweber.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved.
The eommitteee. on water submitted a lease or
agreement between the Village of Yorkville and Martha C.Hopkins
for a period of five years from the 24th of May,1917 giving the
Village of Yorkville certain rights and privileges to and upon
land own by Martha C.Hopkins in the eQuthweet Quarter of Sec.4
Township 36 North Range-Seven (7) East of the Third P.M.
Kendall County, State of Ilinois.
The lease was accepted and approved on a motion
by Trustee Beeoher,seoonded by Trustee Van Emon and -affirmed by

the following members ofrthe board; Beeo.her,Ament,OhsetMerkel,
and Van Emon. Wollenweber absent and not voting.
A dissuasion concerning the purchasing of gravel
followed. A motion was made by Trustee Ohee seconded by Trustee
Merkel that the Street and Alley Committee purchase 100 load* of
gravel from the Knight pit for use in repairing the streets.
Motion earried,all members present affirming the motion.

bills were refert�ed to the .finanee comt�-ittee with instruction
that if they wre found to be correct orders wove to be drawn
for the payment of the same. Motion carried, all members
present affirming the motion.
A motion was rude by Trustee F.E.Ament, seconded
by Trustee Van Emon that the President of the Board be
authorized and instructed to borrow money at his own discreti n
from time to time to adequatly sup-ply the Treasury with funds •
until Maroh,15th,1918. The motion was carried the following
members affirming the motion; Beecher,Ament,George Ohse,

On a motion by Trustee Ohse seconded by Trustee
F Beecher the following Appropriation Ordinance was papped and
approved,by all members of the Board present.
APTROPRIATION ORDININCF
Be it ordained by the President and Trustees of the Village
of Yorkville, Illinois;
Section 1,
That the Following sums be and the same are hereby
aprropriated for the corporate purposes of the Village .of
Yorkville as hereinafter specified for the fiscal year begining
May,let,1917,
For Street Lighting and pumping, $12.0
For Salaries and Labor, $1000.00
For Improving Streets, $1000.00
Cor Cement Walks and ourbings, $ 500.00
