May,7th,1917.
The regular monthly meeting of the foard of Trustees of the
Village of Yorkville,was held in the dose House in Yorkville,
Monday Evening,Nay,7th,1917, 8 o' clock P.M:
President George D.l.ment called the meeting
to order at 8 o' clock PM. The roll call was taken, the followill
members respoading as present, President, George D.Ament,
Trustees; A..C.Markel,A.H.Van Emon,George Okee,W.G.Wolleaweber &
M.N.Peecher. Absent, Frank F.Am.ent.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved as read.
The clerk read the application of Perry Mubbell for
water eights and privila'gea,wkish was granted on a motioi by

Trustee Ohas,seeouded by Trustee B eecher 'and earried,with the
understanding that the Applicant was to bear the expense of `'
installing the same with the exception of the customary one half
the width of the street.
The olerk read a communication from Ka,rtha C.Hopkix
IconceAng the renewal of the lease of her property expiring
May,24th,1917. On a motion by Trustee De =aher seconded by
Trustee Van Emeon,the same was referred to the Water Committee
with power to act.
Tt this time Trustee Beocher of the Street and
alley committee reported that upon investigation he had found
ravel
than gravel from the Coakey gravel bad Eras not suitable g
for use in repair work on the Streets of the Village and
eonse4uently had not purchased any.
At this time the clerk read a proposed ordinance submitted
by Trustee Beecher entitled as follows; AN ORDINANCE,
AGAINST OHICKEN! 'FOWLS & ETC RUNNING AT LARGE WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE SAID VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE
Kendall County, ILLINOIS. On amtion by Trustee Beecher
seconded by Trustee Ohee and umaninously car.ried,the ordinan e
Was passed and approved as read.
Mr. Walter L.MeOwan was present and addressed
the chair and board and made a few remarks and suggestions
concerning the Water Power plant and the proposed install-
ation of a second pump and electric motor.
On a motion by Trustee Beecher seconded by Trust a
Van Emon the matter was referred to the Water committed
with power to act. Tke motion was approved by all members of
the board present.

On a motion by Trustee Ohse seconded by Trustee
Beecher and unaminously curried the same were• referred to t
finance committee with the instructions that if they were hl
found to be correct orders were to be drawn for ppyment of
the same.
Mr. J.Nading was present and mad;: a few explanations
concerning the free Telephones mentioned in the franchises
granted the Chicago Telephone Company.
