City Council Minutes 1917 04-02-17 F Yorkville, Kendall County,illinois April,3nd,1917; The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,was held in the Council rooms in the Hose House,Monday evenigg,April,Znd,1917, Presiddnt McClelland called the meeting to order at 8 o'clock P.M. The roll call was taken with the following result; Present, President McClelland, Trustees, George Ohes, A.C.Merkel,W.G.Wdllenweber and M.N.Beecher. Absent,F.E.Ament. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were rea and approved. A general discussion concerning the purchasing of gravel for use on the streets in the Village followed. Upon a motion by Trustee Wollenweber seconded by Trustee Merkel, Trustee Beecher,Chairman of the stree and alle committee was instructed to obtain prices on gravel in car loa rz. lots fron the Conkey gravel Company,further to investigate and f l- ascertain whether or not crushed rock could be obtained and if so what the price would be per yard in car load lots, and to teport his findings at a later meeting. The following bills were then read by the clerk, Public Service Co. , Pumping,Jan.32, to Feb.30th�,1917, 14.75 Publics Service Co. , Lighting Stre .ts,Jan,3lst,-Feb,a8th, 78.00 Jeter & Boston, Dill to Mar,27th,1917. $19.83 W.B.Mc©wan, Bill to Marcn, 31st,1917. $13.04 On a motion by Trustee Wollenweber secondej y Trustee Beecher and unaminously carried the bills were referre to the finance committee with the instructions that if they we e found correct orders were to be drawn for same. C.w.Beeoher Village Clarkson behalf of the Judges and Clerks of the Primary Election held,Tuesday,Mar9k,l3th01917, reported the result of the said Primary Election as follows; No Citizens Tioket,Ballots cast, 18 Ballots of the $eopkesTicket cast, as follows, 9 Ballots were invalid and not counted.
