City Council Minutes 1917 01-02-17 Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois.
January,2nd,1917.
The President and members of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Yorkville,met pursuant to the adjournment of the
meeting D-ectmber,l8th', 1916. The rol'1 call was first taken
the following members respomding as present;
President McClelland, Trustees, M'.N.Beecher, Frank E.Ament,
W. G.Wollenweber,A.ClJerkel and George Ohee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were
read and approved as read.
The clerk read a comrrunicatior from the
Inter Insurers Fxchange, concerning the renewal cf the liability
Insurance carried by the Village. On a motior by Trustee
Ohee seconded by Trustee Beecher and unaminously carried the
clerk was instructed to draw an order on the Treasury for
135.00 in payment of the premium deposit for the renewal of
the Insurance already in force.
A. motion was made by Trustee Chse and
seconded by Trustee Merkel that the president of the Board
be instructed and authorized at his own discretion to
borrow money from time to time to adequatly oulply the
'Treasury with funds until March, 15th,1917. The motion was
carried the follesin members affirming the mot9 on;
Trustees Beecher, Ament,Wol enweber,Merkel and (hoe.
The folowing bill were then read by the clerk;
C.T.Beecher, Fig and postage, 1.00
George Eccles,l/ days labor, 1.00
J.F.Price, Hauling hose cart, 11.00
Public Service Co. , Lighting streets,Nor,30,Dec,31, $78.00
On a motion by Trustee nhse, aeconded by Trustee
Bucher the bills were referred to the finance corn-n ittee with
instructions that if they were found to be correct orders *ere
to be drawn for payment of the same, Allmembers of the board
affirming the motion.
At this time Mr. Fred L.Wri-zht being present in
person,madi a verbal aprlication for a .•ermit to install and
operate a gasoline pump on the sidewalk in front of the
Charles G.Hardekopf building in Bridge Street. Yorkville,
On a motion by A. C. Terkel, seconded by ". . At.Beeeher
and carried,the matter was laid on the tahle for future
consideration.
There being no further business to come before
the greeting the board adjourned.
