Regularm meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Yorkville,Illinois, There being less than a
quorum present the meeting was adjourned till Thursday Evening
September 7tk,1916,8 o'clook P.M.

The board met pursuant to adjournment. President
MoCl®lland oalled the meeting to order at 8 oClook P.M;
The roll oall was taken the following
members responding. President MoClelland, Trustees;
A.C.Merkel, W.G;Wollenweber,George D.Ament,M:N.Beedher and
F.E.Ament. Absent George Ohee.
The minutes of the previous regular and speoial
lieetinge were read and approved.
The following bills were read;
Pittsburgh Meter Co. , 5 Meters 0 $9.80 $48.00
Pittsburgh Meter Co. , 1 Meter Book & Postage 1.07
Public Servioe Co. Pumping July,91-Aug.19,1916. 15.00
John Cooper, Belt for water works.. .75
Publio Servioe Co. , Bill No.2420,Light for W-W .70 x'
On a motion by Wollenweber seconded by Merkel
the bills were referred to the finance committee with in-
struotiond that if #hey were found to be oorrect orders
were to be drawn for same. All members present affirming the
motion. A general dissoussion followed.
As
A motion was made by Trustee Beecher and seconded
by Trustee Wollenweber that permits . be Granted George M.
Johnson and The Valley Garage to' install and maintain a Gseoline
Pump in the street,adjacent to the sidewalk in front of their
respective places of business, ' The motion carried the following
members voting Yea, Merkel,Wollenweber,Ament,Beecher and Ament.
' The question of the price at which the Village
was to furnish water meters to the consumer was then taken up
and discussed. It was moved by Trustee Merkel and
seconded by Trustee Beecher that Village supply and install
for the consumers of water water meters for $9. 75 cash.
The motion was carried the following membe $
affirming the motion. Merkel,Wollenweber,Geo.Ament,Beeoher
and F.E.Ament.
At this time Trustee Beecher moved and Trustee
Wollenweber seconded the motion that the Clerk be instructed
to draw an order for $200.00 and interest to March,15,1916.
in payment of money borrowed to replenish the Treasury.Motion
carried all members present aff irminjS the motion.
The mlerk then read read allowed an ordinance
to be known as,AN 'ORDINANCE establishing the width of parking
and roadway pn all streets in the Village of Yorkville,
Kendall County,Illinois.
On a motion by Trustee Wollenweber supported
by Trustee Beecher the ordinance was passed as read. The yea
and Nye were taken on the pa6ing of the ordinance with
the following result,Merkel, Yea,Wollenweber,Yea,Geo.Ament Yea
Beecher Yea,F.E.Ament Yea.

The same ordinaoe was approved on a motion by
Trustee Beecher seconded by Trustee Martel and affirmed by
all members of the board present.
At this tine the clerk read the Tam Levy ordinaoe
for the ysr 1916. The ordinance levying $3700.00 was passed
as read on a motion by Trustee Beecher supported byTrustse F.E.
Ament and affirmed by all members of the board present.
The question of purchasing the water pipe laid
by A:C.Merkel from Huestis Street to his property one block
east was discussed and on a motion by Trustee George Ament and
seconded by Trustee F.E.Ament the same was deferred until
another meeting.
On a motion by Trustee Merkel seconded by Trust e
Beecher the clerk was authorized and instructed to purchase
the necessary equipment for sealing the water msters.Motion
carried all members present affirming the motion.
On a verbal application for water service
by Fred ohs* Sr. it was duly moved,esconded and carried that
the same be granted.
There being no further business the board
adjourned.
