MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE
VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON JUNE 11, 1970, AT 8 o'clod
P. M.
Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order; in the absence of Clerk Larson, appointed
Alderman Thomas Clerk Pro-Tem.
Clerk Pro-Tem Thomas called roll with the following aldermen answering aye:
1st ward - Follmer and Thomas
2nd ward - Thanepohn and Florence
W ward - Mitchell and McHugh
Clerk ProTem Thomas read the bills with the General Fund totaling $3801.61, Water
Fund totaling $10,3$8.63. Alderman Mitch311, seconded by Alderman Follmer that the
bills be paid.
Davis Construction has completed and checked all water lines except the one sup-
plying the new water tower.
Chief Prickett then gave the police report for the month of May, with fines total.

M and W Construction Company submitted bids of $325 for curbing at the Rabe home.
A traffic count is being taken on East Main Street.
The clerkly estimate was presented and read with approval at the July meeting.
The Zoning Board of Appeals, acting as the Zoning Commission, that the Water Olsen
petition for rezoning for apartment uses be approved. Alderman Mitchell, seconded
by Thanepohn, that said zoning changes be approved. Upon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye: Follmer, Thomas, Thanepohn, Florence, Mitchell and
McHugh.
Charles Whitfield introduced Mr. Roger Wolff, builder. Mr. Wolff stated that on
the Olsen property he would erect three sets of buildings (2 each) total of six
building with six apartments in each building (36 total).
A resolution ufdvr street maintenance under Motor Fui& Tax Funds, totaling *L6000,
was presented. General discussion followed. Alderman Follmer, seconded by
,Al 61M n Thanepohn, to accept said resolution. Upon roll being taken the following
aldermen voted aye: Follmer., Thomas, Thanepohn, Florence, Mit&ell,and McHugh.
Edward Salisbury asked for liscense to sell packaged beer and liquor. The was
referred to city Attorney Ohse for action and clarification of liquor ordanance.
Mayor Coleman appointed:James Price, acting building inspector.
Their being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
