MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF' THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF TIIE UNITFID CITY OF
THE VlLLAGE OF YBRKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MARCH 1126, 1970 AT
SOP P.M. -
Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the folloving, aldermen were present:
1st ward - Bob Thomas
2nd ward - LeRoy Thanepohn, Vernon Florence
Absent, 1st ward - James Follmer
2nd ward - none
3rd ward - Ralph McHugh, Richard Mitchell
Mayor Coleman than had a discussion on mowing of the park. This was tabled until
the next regular meeting.
The Yorkville Jay C's requested pefmisaion to hold an easter egg hunt the perk on
easter Sudnay. Mayor Coleman :ranted permission.

I discussion was held on camping at Palmer Dam, and the constntction and maintena.
of sanitary facilities at Palmer Dam.
A discussion was had on the selling of water bonds for completion ow the water
tower and main extension and replacement. AldermanFlorence seconded by alderman
Thomas to accept bid of Davis Construction Company. Uppon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye: Thomas, rlorence, Thanepohn, CaUied.
Alderman Thomas the reported the Library was in need of a tax distribution.
A general discussion followed. Alderman Thomas seconded by alderman Thanepohn
that $500.00 be transfored from the general fund to the Library and that this
$500.00 be retu rned upon receipt of the first tax monies. Upon roll being
taken the following aldermen voted aye: Thomas, Thanepohn, `lorence.
A discussion was had on vacating the ',,dsterly one-half of the South one-half
of jefferson Street between Van Emmon and Madison St. Attorney Ohse was
instructed to draw and ordinance vacating said street.
There being no other business the meetin;r was adjourned.
