City Council Minutes 1969 12-11-69 FORM 801-49® U.S.A. December 11, 1969 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY FETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON DECEMBER 11, 1969 AT 8:00 P.M. Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present: 1st ward - Thomas, Follmer 2nd ward - Flotenco, Thanepohn 3rd ward - '. cHugh, Mitchell Copies of the minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on November 13, 1969 were passed by by the clerk, the reading of these minutes were dispensed with. The clerk then read the bills as follows: Hilltop Sinclair, truck repairs 24.90 Bob's Standard Service, trucks 31.55 James E. Price, conference expenses ?.60 Illinois Bell Telephone, phone service 4.53 Commonwealth Edison Co., street lighting 307.26 Al-Hub Electric, police dept supplies 16.42 Yorkville National Bank, payment #9, police car 120.50 Durbin Office Machines, copy paper 30.00 Win Prickett, blankets 14.00 Alvin Spera, expenses, alter clothing 9.00 Kale Uniforms, Police uniforms 43.25 Fox Valley Disposal, garbage removal 801.91 Kendall Outdoor Equipment Co. , chain saw repairs 14-50 Archie Bieritz, mowing and picking up leaves, park 60.00 Kendall County Record, printing 3450 E. R. Zeiter, Insurance, tractor 108.00 Yorkville Hardware, operating supplies 1.55 Farmers Elevator, culvert 52.00 Central Limestone Co., roadstone and chips 143.52 Homer G. Dickson, repairs and labor, tractor 42.16 The::1Avelets Insurance Co., group insurance 246.00 Hilltop Sinclair, gas for trucks 24.90 K & R Delivery, freight 7.22 Illinois Bell Telephone, phone service 15.17 Bob's Standard .Service, trucks 14.88 E & H Utility, parts water department 107.31 Commonwealth Edison Co. , pumping 222.60 The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct. Chief Win Prickett then read the monthly report on the police department. After a general discussion the report was approved as read. Mayor Coleman then read the report on the water department and the streets and alleys. A general discussion following. The report was approved as read. Mayor Coleman then gave a report on the Mayor's conference that James Price attended as his representative. FORM 601-49® U.S.A. A general discussion was had on $207.50 in the old Village of Yorkville Corporate fund. Alderman. Mitchell, seconded by Alderman Thanepohn, made-mation to''trahsfer into the General fund with all aldermen voting aye. A letter from the Yorkville Planning Commission was read. They requested permis- sion to hear zoning changes before this was referred to the zoning board of appeals. A general discussion followed. The Planning Committee was instructed to meet with the Planning Commission. Mr. Walt Olsen then requested that 17 acres be annexed to the city. This portion of real estate is described as follows: That portion of the real estate described in book 99 of Deeds, page 501, lying in section 5 of Kendall Township, Kendall Co. , and also that portion of lands described in Book 99, page 501, lying in section 4 of Kendall Twp., Kendall Co., also lying westerly of Illinois state route 126. A general discussion followed. Alderman Thanepohn seconded by Alderman Thomas, to annex said real estate. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Thomas, Follmer, Florence, Thanepohn, Mitchell and McHugh. Alerman Mitchell seconded by Alderman Florence that approximately 3 acres of the above described real estate be referred to the Zoning Board of Appeals for change from 13-2 to B-3, also to consider ammending the Zoning Ordinance on square footage requirements. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Thomas, Follmer, Florence, Thanepohn, Mitchell and McHrigh. The tractor being in need of tires, Mayor Coleman instructed the Public Property and Building Committee to purchase said tires. There being no other business the meeting was adjourned.
