MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VIL.LiZE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON JANUARY
11. 1968 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:
1st ward - Bob Thomas, James Follmer
2nd ward - Vernon Florence
3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell

Mayor Coleman then nominated Richard `rdalker to fill the unexpired term of
alderman Lawrence Gardner. A gener-.A1 disucssion followed. Alderman Mitchell
seconded by alderman Hayden to confirm said nomination. Upon roll being taken
all aldermen voted aye.
Kendall County Supervisors Leonard Larson, Ernest Zeiter, Chatles Sleezer and
Richard Young. Kendall County Building and Zonneing officer were present at
the meeting. Mr. Young was spokes man for the group and presented a plan for
expansion of the County Court house. A geneail discussion followed. Alder-
man Folmer seconded by alderman Walker that the city council is in full
accord with county plans. Upon roll being taken all aldermen Voted aye.
The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the aldermen
and Mayor held on December 14, 1967- Said minutes were orderd approved.

Chief Prickett then gave the monthly report of the police department which
was approved as read.
James Price then gave the report on the streets and alleys and the water
department which was approved as read.
Alderman Florence then spoke of the sign the lions club wishes to place
in the park. A general discussion followed.
The clerk the presented the yearly work permit from the State of Illinois.
-'lderman Hayden seconded by lderman Florence to accept said permit. Upon
roll being taken all aldermen voteing aye;
There being no other business the meeting was adjourned.
