MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, AT THE DITY HALL ON DzcsmBER 14,
1967 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were prdsent:
lot ward - Bob Thomas, James Follmer
2nd ward - Vernon Florence
3rd ward - Daune Hayden, Richard Mitchell
absent none.
The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on Kovesber
9, 1967. Said minutes were approved as read.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct.
Chief Prickett then gave the monthly report on the police department.
James Price then gave the monthly report on the water department and the
streets and alleys.
A gemr-Al discussion was had on the water agreement for the John onover
sub-division. Mayor Coleman instructed the water committiee to meet With
Mr. Conover and reach an agreement as to the water mains and repaiment due
him from the city.
A general discussion was had on installing mercury-vapor lights around the
schools. The *as refered back to the Lights, Telephone and Gas comnittie
for study.
Apetition was then presented by Ruth and Depbert Anent to rezone part of
their property from residential to apartments. Aldsrman Mitchell seconded
by alderman Florence to refer this to the zoning board of appeals. Upon
roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
Aldern Hayden then asked the feeling on purchasing gas for the city by
contract. This was tabled until a later date.
A general Discussion was had op the police car. Kidd were subintted by
the following car dealers: Lies Chevrolet, Manke hrysler, Zentmeyer Ford,.
The Clerk was instructed to open the bids and they were as follows:
Lies Chevrolet $1720.00
Manke %#hyrsler 1786.00
Zentemeyer Ford 2400.00
The police committie was instructed to study the bids and accept the one
which best met the city rsquirasntts.

Mayor Coleman the requested a $50.00 per month raids in salary for R. Clark
Morrell. Said raise to be effective the 15th of this month. Ilderman
Florence seconded by alderman F bllmer to accept said raise. Upon ro&l being
taken the following aldermen voteing aye: Thomas, Follmer, Florence, Hayden
and Mitchell.
