CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON NOVEMBER
9, 1967 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order and directed that the clerk call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present.
1st ward - 2homas, Follmer
2nd ward - Florence
3rd ward - Hayden and Mitchell
Absent, Gardner '
The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on October
13, 1967• Said minutes were ordered approved.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

followed. AldermanThomas seconded by alderman Hayden to accept said ordinance.
Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Thomas, Follmer, Florence,
Hayden and Mitchell. Nayes, none.
A general discussion was had on the peddlers and solicitor's ordinance. This
was tabled until a later date.
Chief Prickett then read the police report for themonth of October which was
occepted as read.
James Price then gave the month�7 report on the water department and the streets
and alleys which was approved.
Alderman Gardner's resigination from the city counkil was then read. Alderman
Mitchell seconded by alderman Hayden to accept said resignation with deep regrets.
Bids were then submitted for tires for the police car. Mayor Coleman then instructs
the police committiee to open said bids and purchase the tires.
Mr. Elden Madden then sopke on group insurance for the city employees. A general
discussion followed. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Thomas then presented

A general discussion was had on sending R. Clark Morrell to police school in
January 1968. the police committies was instructed to act on this matter.
Wm. cord then presented a plot of the Vern Rowlands proposed sub*division to
the city council for study. Mr. Ford then stated that he would present a
petition for re-zonning at the next regular meeting.
