City Council Minutes 1967 03-09-67 FORM 60I-49®U.S.A. MARCH 9, 1,67 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ATI ERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MARCH 9, 1967 AT. 8:00 P.M. Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present. 1st ward - Robert Coleman 2nd ward - Lawrence Gardner, Vernon Florence 3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and aldermen held on February 10, 1967- Said minutes were ordered approved as read. FORM 601-49® U.S.A. James Price then gave the report on the water department and the streets and alley, for the month of February 1967. Said report being accepted as read. Chief Saum then presented the police report for the month of February 1967 which was accepted as read. A gene al discussion was had on the school crossing guard. The police committiee reporting that Mrs. Margaret Poling, Walker Road; Mrs. Sandra Green, 601 Bridge Street; and Mr nobert Fey, Franklin amd Mill streets had made application for crossing guard. The committiee recommendated that xobert Fey be employed as guard and that the police committiee to meet with the school board. Alderman Coleman then reported on Federal Funds for the new water tower. He gave a list of guide lines that Mr. Ortman of the Federal Farm Administration gave him. The water committiee to meet Frith mr. Ortman. E► general discussion followed. Alderman Coleman then gave a report on the library funds, and expected improvement: to the building. The Clerk the presented the yearly work resolution frfim the Departme&t. of Highways Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Florence to accept said resolution. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye. , Coleman, Gardner, Florence, Hayden and Mitchell. There being no other business the meeting was adjourned.
