MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE. ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON NOVEMBER
10, 1966 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:
1st ward - Robert Coleman
2nd ward - Lawrence Gardner, Vernon Florence
3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell
The clerk then read the minutes of the regular montkly meeting held on October
13, 1966. Said minutes were ordered approved.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

The bills were refe red to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct.
James Price then gave the montIly report on the streets and alleys and the
water department. Said report was ordred approved.

Cheif Saum the gave the montily report onthe police department, said report being
approved.
The clerk then opened the bid from the H. G. Dickson Co. for tires for the tractor.
The bid for tires were as follows:
2 tractor tires 8 ply $109.54 less $10.00 trade in.
2 truck tires 8 ply #93.16 less $10.00 trade in. (7:50 X 16)
Alderman Coleman seconded b alderman Mitchell to

Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
Mayor Madden then read the resignation of Officer Jess Dunkle.from the police
department. Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman Hayden to accept said resignati
Uponnroll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
The building inspector's report was read and ordered gpproved.
A-letter was read from the Sanitary Water Board in regards to raw sewerage being
dumped in to the river . A copy is to be sent to Dr. Wunsch, `Llbert Stalzer and
Edward Reed.
Attorney ohse the said that he was going to have a meeting with the new sheriff,
Chief Deputy, police cheif's Mayor's and other interested person. The Police
emmmittiee to attend this meeting.
Alderman Hayden then made a motion that the Chief of police be allowed to spend
upti0 $50.00 for necessary equipment at the police station. Alderman Mitchell
seconded this motion. Upon roll being taken all Aldermen voted aye.
Mayor Madden then s ated that there was going to be a meeting of the Illinois
LiqubrrCommission at Springfield on December 12 and 13th. Motion by alderman
Hayden seconded by alderman Coleman that the Mayor and Liquor commissioner be
allowed expenses and milgge. Uporn roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
There being no other business the meeting was adjourned.
