October 13, 1966 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON OCTOBER 13, 1966 AT 8:00 P.M. Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present: 1st ward - Robert coleman 2nd ward - Lawrence Gardner, Vernon Florence 3rd ward Biahard Mitchell absent - - Duane Hayden The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on September 9. 1966 and the adjourned meeting held on September 29, 1966, said minutes being ordered approved as read. James Price game the report on the street and alleys and the water department for the month of September, said report was ordered approved. Mayor Madden then read the police report:­for the month of September submitted by Frank Martyn. Report ordered approved. Alderman Mitchell then read a letter by Mr. Glen Palmer in regards to the land od;ithe south side of 15almer Dam. A general discussion followed. Alderman Coleman then reported that the Fox Valley Disposal Company has purchased the Archie Bieritz garbage disposal service. Fox valley has requested that garbage pickup day be changed from Saturday to tuesday. A geeeral discussion followed and this was approved. Alderman Coleman then reported that the health committiee is in favor of reducing the license fee for food licenses to $10.00. A gewral discussion followed: This was tabled until a later date. The Roger Burroughs resignation as alderman was read. Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman Coleman to accept said resignation effective October 1, 1966. Ut)on roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. The Lois Burroughs resignation from the library board was read. Alderman Coleman seconded by alderman Florence to accept said resignation.effective October 1, 1966. All aldermen voting aye. Mayor Madden then apointed Alderman Gardner to serve on the streets and alleys committiee replacing Alderman Burroughs, with alderman Florence as chairman. All other committiees with -durroughs will remain the same. There being no other business the meeting was ajourned. I
