MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON JULY 14,
1966 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll.
Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:
1st ward - Roger Burroughs, Robert Coleman
2nd ward - Vernon Florence
3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell
Absent - Lawrence Gardner.
The Clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly^maeting held on June 9,
1966. Said minutes we e ordered approved.
The Clerk then read the following bills.

Arlie Lough then gave a report on the water department and streets and alleys.
said report was ordered approved.
Chief Martyn them gave a report onthe police department for the month of June.
said report approved. A general discussion £ollwoed on truck parking on Mill
street behind the Ahrens Feed ;;tore. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Reed complained of
trucks blocking this street. This was tabled until later.
A general discussion wah had on use of the time clock by the police department.
This was refered to the police committied for study.
The police committiee asked that Officer Saum work days during Chief Martyn' s
vacation. This was approved.
Mr. Archie -bieritz requested an additional $100.00 additonal for the second:.'
garbage pickup during the summer. This was refered to committiee for study.
-The "pproporation ordinance was presented and read. Alderman Haydeneseconded
by alderman Coleman to accept said ordinance. Upon roll being taken the foll-
owing aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, coleman, Florence, Hayden and Mitchell.
The clerk then read the recommendations for the Zoning board of aprelas in
reg,<ardF te� the Salisbixi propert- nn F:ox road and Main St- , At.g hbtaI
discussion then followed. Attorney ohse",then"presented"an ordinance to
accept recomendation of the Zonn�ing Board of Appeals. Alderman Coleman
seconded by alderman Burroughs to accept said ordinance. Upon roll being
taken the following alderman voted aye: Coleman, Burroughs, Florence,
Hayden and Mitchell.
There being no other business hhe meeting was adjourned.
