City Council Minutes 1966 03-11-66 March 11 , 1966 FORM 601-49®U.S.A. MINUTES OF THE REGUALR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MARCH 11, 1966 AT 8:00 P.M. Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to eall the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present. 1st ward - Roger Burroughs, Robert Coleman 2nd ward - Lawrence Gardner, Vernon Florence 3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the mayor and aldermen held on February 10, 1966. James Price then gave a report on the streets and alleys and the wa `.er department said report was ordered approved. hief Martyn then submitted a report on the police activities which was ordered approved. FORM 601-49®U.S.A. Mayor Madden then gave a report on a library meeting th,:-,.t he attended and a general discussion followed. Alderman Uoleman then reported that he had met with Mr. Archie Bieritz and that Mr. Bieritz was now satisfied with his present contract for garbage removal. It was requested that permission be granted that the Newton house on Hesutis street be pushed down and burned ih the basement. Permission was granted on the condition that it be burned on a still day and the fire department be standing by. A general discussion was had for a sewer extension for Bristol Road, Walnut and Jackson Streets. Deuchler and Associates to establish grade and primarily-,,.- engineering to be presented at the next regular monthly meeting. Alderman Florence then made a motion that "cNeils be alsowd to remove-?stumps at the cost of $4.00 each. This to be at the descretion of the Committiee. Alderman Gardner seconded this motion. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Burroughs that the City borrow $1500.00 from the Yorkville national Bank for payment of the police car. Upon roll be taken all aldermen voted aye. There being no other business the meeting was adjourned. Clerk
