City Council Minutes 1965 12-09-65 FORM 601-49®U.S.A. December 9. 1966 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YOROILEE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON DECEMBER 9. 1965. Mayor Madden called the meeting- to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present: ► 1st ward - Roger Burroughs, 11obert Coleman 2nd ward - Lawrence Gardner, Vernon Florence 3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and Aldermen held on November 11, 1965- Said minutes were ordered approged. James Price then gave a report on the water department and the streets and alleys. A general discussion followed a a relay for the water pump. Alder- man Mitchell seconded by alderman lorence that a new relay be installed. upnn roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Gardner, Florence, Hayden and Mitchell. Chief Martyn then gave a report on the activities of the police department which was ordered approved. Alderman Florence then gave a report of the receration committiee and requested funds. A general discussion was had on purchasing a new car for the police department. The police committiee was instructed tc draw up specifications and advertise for bids to be opened at the regular monthly meeting to be held on January 1-4, 1966. A general discussion then followed on making an industrial park along Van Emmon Street form Heustis east to the city limits. This was refered to the Future Planning committiee for study. There being no other business the meeting was adjourned.
