MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON APRIL 8,
1965 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:
1st ward - Roger burroughs, Robert Coleman
2nd ward - Delbert Trummel, Lawrence Gardner
3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell
The clerk then mad the minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on March
11, 1965. Said minutes were ordered approved.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct.
James E. Price then gave the report on the water department and the streets
and alleys for the month of March.
Chief Martyn then gave a report of the activities of the police department
for the month of March.
Secure Reality submitted a platt of the seconded Edgewood Sub-division. "lder-
man Trummel seconded by alderman Burroughs to accept said platt upon execution
of certificate of orriginal to the clerk and mayor. Upon roll being taken
the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Tru=ell, Gardner,
Hayden and Mitchell.
Arlie P. Lough, Building inspector then submitted the monthly report of the
buidling inspections.
A general discussion was had on the street repairs under Motor Fuel Tax Funds.
Allerman Gardner seconded by alderman Hayden that bids be open for said repairs
on May 4 at 2 O'Clock P.M. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
A gneral discussion was had on obtaining a mower for the tractor. This was
referd back to committiee for study.
Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Coleman to renew the insurance on the
Pumphouse and contents, ctty hall and contents, and the police dept bldg and
contents. U'con roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
A general discussion was had on renewing the g=arbage contract with Mr. Archie
bieritz. Upon motion of alderman Coleman seconded by alderman Burroughs that
Mr Hieritz recieve $290.00 per month the first year $295.00 the seconded year
and $300.00 the third year with $150.00 added during the summer months of each
year. Upon roll being taken the follooing aldermen vofed aye: Burroughs,
Coleman, Trummell, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell.

Alderman Coleman seconded by alderman Burroughs appointed the follwoing person
judges of elect'-on: Jacquline FRllmer, Janice Olson, Alvin Eck, Betty Wilson
Harry Stading, Carl Schobert, A thur Hubbard, Ernest Sandell, Eunice Cies
Wintress Wells, James Talbot, Madge Reninger, Alta Hayden, Lena Faye Hodge,
and Earl Hasemener. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
There being no other business the meeting was adjourned until May 4th at
2 O'Clock P.M.
