MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY METING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON DECEMBER
10, 1964 AT 8:00 P.M.
the Clerk then called the meeting to order and asked for nominations for a
mayor pro-tem. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Coleman nominated alderman
Tnummel., all aldermen voting aye. The clerk then took roll and the following
were present:
1st ward - Roger Burroughs, Robert Coleman
2nd ward - Delbert Trummel, Lawrence Gardner
3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell
absent, Mayor Madden.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

The bills were refered to the finance committie to be paid if found correct.
James Price then gave a report on the Water Department and Streets and Alleys
for the month 8W November 1964. Said report was ordered approved.
A general discussion was had in regards to payment of labor charges against
the Bristol Kendall Fire district. The water committise suggested that they
be billed $150.00.
Alderman Hayden seconded by Alderman Trummel that Everett @oins be hired as
patrollman at the salary of $400.00 per month with one week'sluacation after
one year and one day per month sick leave aceumalative up to and not excedding
14 days. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs,
Coleman, Trummel, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell.
Chief Maytyn then read the police report for the month of November 1964, said
report was ordered approved.
George Griffin of Walter E. Deuchler Assoc. reported on additional arterial
streets in the City.
A resolution was presented for umprovement under the Illinois Highway Code
for payment of an additional $400.00 on Van Emmen from Mill street to the
city limits. Alderman Coleman made motion to accept seconded by alderman
Hayden. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
The reslolution for yearly work permits along Bridge Street was presented.
Alderman Gardner seconded by alderman Burroughs to accept said resolution.

An ordinance to amend section 26 - an ordatace pertaining to thw water works
of the United City of the Village of Yorkville and reL—ealint: all ordinances in
regards to the water works heretofore. Algeneral d1scustionfMASudd. Alderma
Hayden seconded by alderman Mitchell to accept said ordinance. Upon roll being
taken the following aldermen voted aye. Ourroughs, Coleman, Trummel, Hayden,
and Mitchell.
