City Council Minutes 1964 09-10-64 FORM 601-49® O.S.A. September 10, 1964 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYCH AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON SEPTEMBER L0, 1964 AT 8:00 P.M. Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present. 1st ward - Ro4ger Burroughs, Robert Coleman 2nd ward - Delbert Turmmel, Lawrence Gardner 3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell The Clerk then read the minutes of the r$gualr monthly meeting held on August 13, 1964 and were approved. The final engineers estimate number 4 for the special water assessment in favor of the G. Choicine contractors, :ari the ammount of $10,489.00 and the Walter E. Deuchler assoc for engineering in the amount of $356.00. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Mitchell that the necessary bonds be issued bo cover this. Upon roll being taken the- following aldermen voted aye; Burroughs, Coleman Trummel, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. The final engineering estima#e�,-for watermains and engineering on Beecher street was presented. The were $1732.40 for the G. Chocine Const Co. and $60.29 for Walter E. Deuchler Assoc. Alderman Mitchell Seconded by alderman Gardner to pay skid estimates from the water f uhd. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Trummel, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. Mr. James Price then gave the report on the water department and the streetd and alleys. Chief Martyn the gave a report on the activities .df the police department for the month of August. A gneral disuession followed on raw sewerage being dumped into the river. Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman Hayden for City Attorney LIhse to write letters to persons whos sewerage empties into the Fox river. (Al Stalzer, Harry Crawford, Richard Groner, And Dr. Wunsch) Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Turmmle, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. Alderman Trrmmel then made a motion that Perkins Builders repair the steps at Bridge and River Stre6ts. The cost to be $225.00. This was seconded by alderman Burroughs. Upon roll being taken the following Alderman voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Trummel, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. The City attorney then read an'ordinance entitled "An ordinance coneerning parking on North Main Street between Hydraulic Ave and zxdxthe roc River in the United City of `he Village of Yorkville, Kendall Co. Illinois." Alderman Mitchell Seconded By alderman Coleman to accept said ordinance. upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman Trummel, Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. Alderman Mitchell than made a motion to intall Mercury Vapro lights at %)omonauk and Colton Strets. This was seconded by alderman Hayden. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen v6bed aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Tuummel Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. FORM 601-49® U.S.A. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Gardner that any, official attending the Illinois Municipal League Convention in Chicago from September 26th thorugh the 29th shall receive milage at a¢ per mile registrahion fees and hotel .expenses, the shame shall cover expenses for the water operators convention at Springfield on September 29th and 30th. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Trumme34 Gardner, Hayden and Mitchell. There being no other business the meeting weds adjourned. Clerk
