July 9, 1964 MINUTES OF THE RE JLAR TIO NTHLY I'1f;L'TING OF THE YIYOR AND ALDERIM OF THE UA'ITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON J??LY 9, 1964 AT 8:00 P.M. Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen°were present: lst wavd, Roger Burroughs, Robert Coleman 2nd ward, Delbert Trummel 3rd ward Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell <' absent, tawerence Gardner Alderman Trummel seconded by alderman Burroughs that the first order of business be the request for re-zoning of the Atlee Sub-division. Upon roll all aldermen voted aye. The clerk then redd the report from the zoning commission. AldermanColeman seconded by alderman Hayden to reject the Olson request for rezoning of the Fred Atlee subdivision. Unnn X11 being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Tutmmel, Hayden and Mitchell. The Clerk then read the minutes of the regualr monthly meeting hold on June 11,1964. The Yorkville woman's Club requested permission to the the park for an Ice Cream Social on August 30th. Permission was granted. Mr. Eugene Campbell speaking for Dr. L. A. "Tunsch, requested that the City vacate 5.3 feet of the east; side of Bruin Street from Hydraulic Street to the Riocax Fox river. A general discussion followed. Alderman Burroughs seconded by alderman Hayden to vacate said 5.3 feet of Main Streetl Upon roll being taken the follwwing aldermen voted aye, Burroughs, Coleman, Trummel, Ha#den and lo'.itchell. A general discussion was had on revising the building code. Thus was refered back to the building committiee for futhur study.. James Price then gave the report of the water department and the streets a and alleys. . Chief Martyn then gave the report of the activites fif the police department/ The report oft he building was given for the month of June. Alderman Trummel reported on a conservation between himself and b°rs. R P Fisher in regards to the city taking over and suporting the library. A general discussion followed. Walter E. Deuchler Engeers thhn presented a change in plans for the work on East Vanemmon St. in the amount of $918.30. A-general discussion followed. Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman Trummel to acept said changes. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Colemman Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. There bing no other business the meeting was adjourned.
