City Council Minutes 1963 10-29-63 An adjourned meeting of the aldermen of the City of Yorkville was called to order by Mayor Madden at the City Hall, Yookville, Illinois, October 29, 1963 at 8;00 PM. The clerk being absent, Mayor Madden appointed James E. Price to act as clerk pro-tem, Present were aldermen Coleman, Trummel, Burroughs, Hayden and Mitchell., Absent alderman Gardner. Clerk read bids on Sewer Extension Proposals from T 4R Constru- ction, Davis Consbruction and Advance Construction. Motion by alderman Hayden, seconded by alderman Mitchell that the low bid of Davis Construction for $16p997-40 accompanied certified check of $1700.00 be accepted sbjec to sewernceo mi by action with our engineer relative to readusting total footage of sewers that city can pay for out of Sewer Extension Fund and that other bids be returned, Aldermen voting aye, Coleman, Tru- mmel, Burroughs, Hayden and Mitchell - voting nay, none -alder- man Gardoaghs absent. Motion carried. Clerk read bids for Police car on specifications set up by the Police committee from Zentmeyer Ford, Lies Chevrolet and Owen Kane Ford Sales. Motion by Hayden, seconded by Coleman that all bids be reject- ed. Aldermen voting aye -Coleman, Trummel, Burroughs, Hayden and Mitchell. Aldermen voting nay-none. Absent alderman Gardner. Mr. Bill Mayer of Kendall Farmers Oil Company introduced Mr. Bud Fruet, engineer from Bloomington who explained ks Nitrogen Convertor installations to the board and answered their questions about such an installation at the bulk plant of the Kendall Farmers Oils Company in Yorkville. Motion by alderman Mitchell, seconded by alderman Burroughs that the City sign an affadavidt for the Oil Company to foward top operiStateiAgency. Aldermen voting aye- Coleman, Trummeb, Burroughs, Hayden and Mitchell. Aldermen votingnay-none. Absent alderman Gardner. A Motorola salesman introduced by Chief Martyn answered board questions relative to PoliseRadbos ans Fee regulations governing the" operations.
