October 10, 1963 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLATE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON OCTOBER 10, 1963 AT 8:00 P.M. Mayor liadden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the follwing aldermen were present. 1st ward - Rodger Burroughs, Robert Coleman 2nd ward,- Delbert Tmuomel, Lawrence Gardner 3rd ward - Richard Mitchell Absent - Duane Hayden The clerk then read the minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on September 12, 1963. Mr. James Price then gave the monthly report on the streets and alleys and the water department. He also gave a re-)ort on the state water meeting he and Rodger Burroughs attended at Urbana, I1-Linois. Mr. Franklin Martyn then gave the report of the police actiti.es for the month of september which was accepted. The Police eommittise then reported on specifications for a car for the police department. A general discussion follwyed. Alderman Gardner seconded by alderman Trummel that the car be advertised for and bids to be opened on October 29, 1963 at 8.00 P.M. A general discussion was had in regards to repairs for the signal light for the police department. Alderman Gardner seconded by alderman Coleman that the city discontinue use of said light. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Mr. William Meyer of the Kendall Farmet*EZU Company requested that pbrm- ission for the oil company to install a nytrogen converter plant in the City of Yorkville. A General discussion follwed with alderman Mithhell seconded by alderman Coleman that this be held over for one month for futhur study. Mr. Gene Gorden stated that plans were ready for the sewer extension on Fox road. He was instructed to advertise for bids to be opened on October 29, 1963 at an adjourned meeting. There being no other business the meeting was adjourned until October 29, 1963 at 8:00 p.m. Clerk
