Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:

The minutes of the regualr monthly meeting held on August 8, 1963 were read and
ordered approve.
The clerk then read the Dills as follows:

The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if correct.

The report on the streets and alleys and the water department was presented by
James Price. Said reports were approved.
James Price was instructed to obtain bids for tires on the IHC truck.
The police report was presented by Franklin Martyn Sr., and a gneral discussion
followed concering the purchasing of a car for usedby the police department.
Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman Trummel that the police committiee draw
up specifications and to ddvertise for bids to be opened at the next regular
meeting on October 10, 1963. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted ayej.
The Yorkville Community High School requested premission to hold a hosecomaing
parade in Yorkville on October 19th. Mayor Madden then instructed Cheif Martyn
to secure the necessary permits f�thhe state of' Illineis.
A general discussion was kkd on sewer extensions. The sewer committies was to
meet and draw up standard policy for the city to adopt.
A geasral discussion was had on parking on Bridge street. The department of
highways to be notified that the City of Yorkville willpass as parking ordinance
changing the parking for verticle to horozonal when the state is ready to make
the repairs to *mid *treat.
Mr. Robert Fey asked the city to pay a share of the sottt of oiling their lane
to their homes ($150.00). On motion of alderman Hayden seconded by alderman
Gardner this was refered back to committiee for futhur study.
Walter E. Deuchler Engineers presented enginessrs estimate number$-and ` for
partial payment number 2 Uhocine Const Company $20,000.00 and Dewbisk for
engineering $696.31. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Coleman that Uity
attorney Ohre drag: up the necessary certificates for payment. Upon roll being
taken the following aldermen voted aye: Coleman, Turmmel, Gardner, Hayden and
Mitchell.
Alderman Tummel seconded by alderman Coleman that Duane Hayden Pe paid the
first of a serices of 10 special assements from the general fund for easement
across his property. Ambunt of said easement 192.18. Upon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye: Holeman, Turmmel, Gardner, Mitchell.
Absent nurroughs, not voting Hayden.
Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Coleman that anyone.Attending the Illinois
Municiapl League Convention be alowed 8f per mile, registrattik and hotel cost.
upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Turmmel that the City shall par cost $10.00
per plate for the president and secretary of planning commission to attends plannin
meeting sponsored by the Northern Illinois Gas Company. Span roll being taken
all aldermen voted aye.
