The City Clerk then presented and read in full a Resolution by
the Board of Local Improvements of the United City of the Village of
Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, providing for a local improve-
ment to be paid for by special assessment.
(See attached Resolution)
The City Clerk then read a Recommendation by the Board of
Local Improvements as to constructing of water mains and appurten-
ances on the North side of the United City of the Village of Yorkvill
Kendall County, Illinois, to be paid for by special assessment.
(See attached Recommendation)
Duane Hayden then moved that the Recommendation of the Board
of Local Improvements be approved. Richard 0. Mitchell seconded
the motion and upon the roll being called the following Alderman
voted "Aye": Robert J. Coleman, Duane Hayden, Lawrence Gardner,
Richard 0. Mitchell, Roger R. Burroughs, and Delbert Trummel.
"Nayes", none. Delbert Trummel then presented and the Clerk read
in full an Ordinance of the United City of the Village of Yorkville,
Kendall County, Illinois, providing for a local improvement to be
paid for by special assessment. Upon completion of the reading,
Richard 0. Mitchell moved and Duane Hayden seconded the motion that
the said Ordinance be adopted. The following Alderman voted "Aye":
Robert J. Coleman, Duane Hayden, Lawrence Gardner, Richard 0.
Mitchell, Roger R. Burroughs and Delbert Trammel. "Nayes", none.

Elden E. Madden,as President of the Board of Local Improvements
and Mayor, then stated that pursuant to his authority as president
of the Board of Local Improvements, he appointed LaVerne A. Hansen
as Commissioner, to make a true and impartial assessment of the
cost of the water main extensions.

Mr. John Schneider prestned a petition asking the City Council to receind
the ordinance making Hydraulic Street one way from Bridge to Heustis Street.
A general discussion followed.
Alderroa n. Burroughs to referrthis to the Street and Alley Committie.for study.
IAayor Madden then called for a second- 'to this notion. Alderman &a.tchell
then seconded this motion. Upon roll being taken the folowing aldermen
voted aye: Burroughs; Mayes, Coleman, Turmmel, '-�ardn.er, Hayden and IU-tchell.
Alderman Trummel then made a motion to resend the one way street ordinance.
This was seconded by alderman Hayden. Upon roll bein,; taken the following
aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Turmmel, Gardner, Hayden, Nayes: Coleman,
and ITitchell. Carried.
City attorney Ohse then informed the city council that the Stahl Constuctibn
Co. of Somonauk has obtained an contractor Lein against the City of Yorkvile
to stop payment to the Boncar Construction Co. This was refered to the
city engImeers.
The resolution for making of a park above Palmer dam was read. Alderman
Mitchell Seconded by alderman Coleman that this resolution be adopted, and
fordwared to the department of Conservation. Upon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye: Burrouhs, Coleman, Trammel, Gardner, Hayden
and I.itchell.
The Resolution was presented for construction )f I,IanEmmon Street from Vill
Street East to the City Limits. Cost of said const retion to be -18,500.00.
This to be from I`otor Fuel Tax. Alderman Trummel ieconddd by alderman
I.itchell to accept said resolution. Upon roll being taken the following
aldermen voted aye: Burroughs, Coleman, Trur-imel, uardner, Hayden and Vitchell.
