AN ADJOURNE7 MEETING OFCITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE
ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON AUGUST 20, 1962 AT 8:00 P.M. FOR THE PURPOSE
OF LETTING CONTRACTSFOR STREET REPAIRS.
Due to the absence of Mayor Madden the council appointed Alderman Hayden
Mayor Pro-Term.
The clerk then took the roll as follows:
1st ward - Burroughs
2nd ward - Gardner
3rd ward - Hayden and Mitchell
absent - Mayor Madden, Coleman, Turmmel
The clerk then opened the bids as follows:
Aurora Blacktop Co., Montgomery $5023.70
Shhal Const Co., Somonauk 5550.40
A general discussi6n was had on the bids submitted. Alderman Burroughs seconded
by alderman Gardner to accept the low bidder, Aurora Black top �'o., of Montgonery,
Illinois. This is to be subject to approval of the Department of Highways.
Upon roll being taken the following alderman voted aye: J�urroughs, Gardner,
Hayden and Mitchell.
There being no futhur bisuness the meeting was adjourhed.
