MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMAN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VIIITAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON AUGUST
10, 1962 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Madden called the meeting to order and directed the cliirkkto call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:
lot ward - Robert Coleman
2nd ward - Delbert Trummel, Lawrence Gardner
3rd ward - Richard Mitchell
The clerk then redd the minutes of the regualr monthly meeting hold on July
14, 1962 and they were ordered approved.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

A general discussion was had on the Boncar Coasturction Company in completting
their contract for restoring streets, sidewalks, and parking areas.
A gneral discussion was had on possible liability from dead elm trees. Alderman
Trummel seconded by alderman Gardner to raise libality insurance $5000.00 and
$25,000.00 for the period of one year. Upon roll being taken the following
aldermen toted aye: Coleman, Trummel, La.rdner, and mitchell. Absent, Ourroughs,
and Hayden.
A discussion was had on removal of dead trees. The Trees and park committiee
was insturcted to meet with Mr. Baker of Baker tree Service and reach an
a reement oid tree removal.
The tax levey ordinance was presented. Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman
Coleman to accept said ordinance. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen
voted aye: Coleman, Trummel, Gardner, Mitchell. Absent 'Ourroughs and Hayden.
Alderman Mitchell seconded by alderman Trummel that the meeting be adjourned
until August 20, 1962 at 8:00 P.M.. for the purpose of letting contract for
street repairs under Motor Fuel Taxes.
